VAYAKEHEL.
And allthe congregation of the sons of Israel went forth from before Mosheh. And theycame, every man who was led by his heart, and every one whose spirit was ample,and brought their separation before the Lord, for the work of the tabernacle ofordinance, and for all its service, and for the holy vestments. And they came,the men with the women, every one who was willing of heart, and brought chains,and bracelets, and rings, and bands, all of gold. And every man who uplifted anoffering of gold before the Lord, and every man with whom was found hyacinth,or purple, or crimson, or fine linen, or goatsÕ skins, or ramsÕ skins dyed red,or purpled skins, brought. Every one who would offer silver or brass, broughtthe separation before the Lord; and every one with whom was found woods ofsittin for any work of the service, brought. And every woman wise in heart spunwith her hands, and brought what was spun, the hyacinth, the purple, thecrimson, and the fine linen. And all the women with whom was willingness ofheart with wisdom spun goatÕs hair. And the princes brought onyx stones andcomplete stones for the insetting of the ephod and the breastplate; and theperfume, and oil for the light and for the oil of anointing, and incense ofperfumes. Every man and woman whose heart led them to bring for all the workwhich the Lord had commanded to make by Mosheh, did the children of Israelbring willingly before the Lord.
AndMosheh said to the sons of Israel, See, the Lord hath ordained by mane Bezalelbar Uri bar Hur, of the tribe of Jehudah, and hath filled him with the spiritof prophecy
And he made curtainsof goat's hair to spread over the tabernacle: eleven curtains made he them. Thelength of one curtain thirty cubits, and four cubits the breadth of onecurtain; one measure had the eleven curtains. And he conjoined five curtainstogether, and six curtains together. And he made fifty loops upon the border ofthe curtain on the side of the conjunction, and fifty loops made be upon theside of the second curtain at the place of conjuncture. Arid he made fiftytaches of brass to conjoin the tabernacle, that it might be one. And be madethe covering of the tabernacle of rams' skins reddened, and a covering ofpurple skins above. And he made the boards of the tabernacle of sittin wood, standing.Ten cubits the length of a board, and a cubit and a half the breadth of oneboard. Two tenons for one board corresponding one with the other; so made hefor all the boards of the tabernacle.
And he made the VEILof hyacinth, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen; of the work of theembroiderer he made it, with forms of kerubin. And he made for it four pillarsof sittin, and covered (them) with gold, and their books of gold, and cast forthem four sockets of silver. And he made a curtain for the door of thetabernacle, of hyacinth, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, the work ofthe embroiderer. And its five pillars and their hooks; and he overlaid theircapitals, and covered them and their joining rods with gold, and their fivebases (made he) of brass.
And he made the MERCYSEAT of pure gold; two cubits and a half its length, and a cubit and a half itsbreadth. And he made two kerubim, of beaten gold he made them, at the two sidesof the mercy seat. One keruba on this side, and one keruba on that side of themercy seat; he made the kerubaia from its two sides. And the kerubaia spreadout their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings; and theirfaces were one towards the other, over against the mercy seat were the faces ofthe kerubaia.
And he made the TABLEof sittin woods; two cubits its length, and a cubit its breadth, and a cubitand a half its height. And he covered it with pure gold, and made for it agolden crown round about, and made for it a rim[4] its height a span,round about; and he made a crown of gold for its rim round about. And he castfor it four golden rings, and set the rings upon the four corners of its fourfeet. Over against the rim were the rings to be the place of the staves forcarrying the table. And he made the vessels which were to be upon the table;its dishes, and its vases, and its measures, and the cups with which (thelibations) are outpoured, of pure gold.
And he made theCANDELABRUM of pure gold, beaten made he the candelabrum, its rest, its shaft,its cups, its apples,
And he made the ALTAROF SWEET INCENSE of sittin wood ; its length a cubit, and a cubit its breadth,foursquare., and two cubits the height of it; of the same were its horns. Andhe overlaid it with pure gold, its top and its sides round about, and itshorns: and he made for it a golden crown round about. And two rings of goldmade he for it under its crown, upon its two sides, the place for the staves bywhich to carry it. And he made the staves of sittin wood, and overlaid themwith gold. And he made the oil for holy anointment, and the pure sweet incense,the work of the perfumer.
XXXVIII. And be madethe ALTAR OF BURNT OFFERING of sittin wood; five cubits its length, and fivecubits its breadth, four‑square, and three cubits its height. And he madeits horns upon its four corners, of the same were its horns, and he coated itwith brass. And he made all the vessels of the altar, the caldrons, and thecleaners., and the basins, and the fleshhooks, and the receivers; all itsvessels made he of brass. And he made for the altar a brasen grate of network,under its border beneath, (reaching) unto its middle. And he cast four ringsfor the four corners of the brasen grate, the place for the staves. And he madethe staves of sittin wood, and overlaid them with brass. And he put the stavesinto the rings upon the sides of the altar by which to carry it; hollow withboards he made it.
And be made the LAVERof brass, and its base of brass, of the mirrors of the women who come to prayat the door of the tabernacle of ordinance. And he made the court, the southernside of which was of hangings for the court, of fine linen twined, of a hundredcubits; their pillars twenty, and their sockets twenty, of brass; the hooks,pillars, and their uniting rods of silver. And for the northern side (hangings)of a hundred cubits, their pillars twenty, and their sockets twenty, of brass;the hooks of the pillars and their uniting rods of silver. And for the westernside, curtains, fifty cubits; their pillars ten, and their sockets ten; thehooks of the pillars and their uniting rods of silver. And on the eastern side,eastward, fifty cubits. The hangings fifteen cubits on (one) side (of thegate), their pillars three, and their bases three. And on the second side ofthe gate of the court, here and there, hangings, fifteen cubits; their pillarsthree, and their bases three. All the hangings of the court round about were offine linen twined. And the bases of the pillars were of brass, the hooks,pillars, and their uniting rods of silver, and the overlaying of their headswas of silver, and there were uniting rods of silver for all the pillars of thecourt. And the veil for the gate of the court was the work of the embroiderer,hyacinth, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen; and twenty cubits was itslength, and the height, in the breadth five cubits, according (to the heightof) the curtains of the court. And their pillars four, and their bases four, ofbrass, and their hooks silver, and the overlaying of their head and theiruniting rods, silver. And all the pins of the tabernacle, and of the court roundabout, were of brass.
