Gospel of Thomas

On fake works |
There are actually four documents that report to be the Gospel of Thomas.
Three are classified as infancy gospels and one is a Gnostic work. The
following are examples of why these are considered fake:
- Greek form 1

3 – Jesus being angry turned a young boy into a wrinkled
old man.

4 – Jesus killed a boy by His word alone.

5 – Jesus made the people who did not like Him go blind.
When reprimanded by Joseph Jesus rebukes Joseph.

7 – Jesus made His teacher feel very foolish and ashamed.

8 – Jesus maimed people that spoke against Him.
-
9 – Jesus raised a boy from the dead.

13 – Jesus made a peace of wood grow to fit in a plough
Joseph was making.

14 – Jesus killed His teacher because he hit Jesus in the
head with a rod for smarting off to him.

16 – Jesus as a child heals His older brother James from a
snake bite and the snake burst.

2 – Same as (GR 1.3) except the boy dies instead of being
wrinkled.
- 4 – Same As
(GR.1.4)The 4th chapter is the same. The other stories mentioned
above are omitted
- Latin form

1 – Jesus brought a fish back to life and made it walk on
water.

4 – (GR 1.3) Same story except Jesus calls the Pharisee
(boy) a sodomite then kills him.

5 – The parents are angry because Jesus has killed some
of their children.
